Who it's for :
The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines is an advanced qualification for those ready to move beyond wine knowledge and into true understanding. It is designed for serious wine enthusiasts and industry professionals who want to confidently analyse, describe, and evaluate wines from the world’s key regions.
The course explores how viticulture, winemaking, climate, and geography shape wine style and quality, with a strong emphasis on analytical tasting and structured assessment.
Completion of WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is highly recommended, as Level 3 is fast-paced and academically demanding. This course is particularly well suited to those who already have a solid grounding in wine and are looking to broaden and deepen their international wine perspective.

How to provide informed wine recommendations, including appropriate advice on storage, service, and food and wine pairing

How to accurately taste and describe wines using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting (SAT), and use these observations to assess quality and readiness for drinking
Class Format:
This course consists of 32.5 guided learning hours, delivered across six full-day Sunday sessions. Classes combine structured lectures, guided discussion, and extensive analytical tasting to prepare students for both the theory and tasting examinations.
In addition to classroom time, students should plan for approximately 51.5 hours of private study, including revision, tasting practice, and exam preparation.
Assessment consists of a closed-book theory examination (multiple choice and short written answers) and a blind tasting examination, held on a set date following completion of the course. Exact dates are listed in the course schedule.
All WSET examinations are marked in the UK. Successful candidates are awarded a digital WSET Level 3 Award in Wines certificate (WSET no longer issues printed certificates).
Class sizes are strictly limited to ensure a focused, high-quality learning experience and individual tutor support.
